About Me
I have worked at The Building
Centre since leaving college in 1999,
starting as an Information Officer.
Following the internet boom, there
was a requirement to develop the way people accessed the wealth of
information at The Building Centre.
Given my interest in Web Development and Design, I was given
the opportunity to run and develop the centre's sites, including
a new, searchable and interactive 'Product Directory' called specifinder.com which I developed single handedly from the ground up.
I have always remained on top of internet trends and strive to develop
my skills in new areas of web-development. Currently, these are technologies
such as AJAX and ASP.NET MVC.
I completed a BSc (Hons) in Web-based Business
Systems in June 2009 and achieved a 2:1.
My main areas of interest and expertise are:
ASP, ASP.NET, JSP, SQL, XML, CSS, JavaScript
I am proficient with several web-development software packages, primarily:
Visual Studio 2008, Dreamweaver, MS
